Course  success  rates  were  consistent.    Employers  were  satisfied  with  technical  skills.

The  number  of  internships  available  for  two  year  technical  students  were  difficult  to  find.    Several  problems  began  to  arise.    The  greatest  concern  was  the  consistency  of  evaluating  sucess  from  one  internship  to  another  and  measuring  and  coaching  critical  thinking  skills.      As  a  result  of  the  difficulties,  we  created  a  simulation  course.    In  this  course  we  could  have  a  consistent  method  of  evaluating  all  students  and  challenge  their  critical  thinking  skills  while  measuring  all  of  our  program  outcomes.

The  simulation  course  was  piloted  the  first  year.    Students  were  challenged  to  think  critically  and  consistency  in  assessment  was  reached.    In  the  2015/2016  academic  year,  the  course  then  became  a  required  course  in  the  Business  Management  program  and  is  the  point  where  assessment  of  all  program  outcomes  occur.    The  internship  practicum  was  transformed  into  a  career  experience  and  is  more  customizable  to  the  student  and  their  career  goals.
