Before we get going here’s a reminder of the features of ExamPrep and how they can really help you on the road to exam success.

Registering

1, Go to elsevierexamprep.co.uk. If you have not yet registered please ensure that you are logged onto your university network and then click on register under institutional user.

2, This will bring up the registration screen. Now just fill in your details, you will also need to read and accept the registered user agreement by ticking the box, then click the register button.

3, You are now ready to start using ExamPrep


Logging in

If you have already registered and want to log in please follow the steps below:1, Go to elsevierexamprep.co.uk and click on login under Institutional User


2, This will bring up the registration screen. Now just fill in your details, you will also need to read and accept the registered user agreement by ticking the box, then click the register button.

3, Here you should enter the name of your institution and in the dropdown select view all


4, You will see the following screen where you can enter your university login details

5, You will then need to enter your ExamPrep login and you can start using ExamPrep


The dashboard of ExamPrep is designed to be simple and easy to use. Choose to create a personalised learning plan using My Learning Plan functionality, or create and take a test.

2. Setting Up Your Learning Planner

Click to begin to create revision plan.

Click here to create custom tests/quizzes.


3. Create an individual learning planner to help focus revision time. The learning planner creates a personalised study plan based on strengths and weaknesses, whether practicing in study or exam mode, exam dates and time available for study. The planner will adapt should any key study days be missed, the program will reformulate the learning planner to adapt the revision schedule

4. Learning Planner Schedule

View learning plan schedule by day, week or month and see if there are any overdue items in the schedule

Work your way through levels of difficulty to achieve mastery

View test results for each test/exam added to learning plan


5. Creating Custom Quiz/Test

Choose the exam you want to take. Please note that you will only see the question bank(s) that you have subscribed to here

Choose the mode in which you want to study. Study or exam.


6. Review Automatic Grading and Feedback

See instant feedback on performance: All tests are automatically graded and provide instant feedback after each question in study mode, and at the end of a test in exam mode

Read question rationales detailing why an answer is right or wrong


7. Read Additional Feedback from Elsevier Texts

To aid your learning click on additional feedback to see further targeted explanations selected from leading textbooks such as: Kumar and Clark’s Clinical Medicine, Davidson’s Principles and Practices of Surgery, the Crash Course Series and Gray’s Anatomy for Students. This is accessible at the end of each question in study mode


8. Performance Statistics - Historical Test Performance

To review your performance click on records

Then click Test History

Click the review button to see test statistics in detail


9. Statistics - Specific Test/Exam Performance

Get a detailed breakdown of test performance: review correct/incorrect questions, total session time and average time taken to answer each question

View results by confidence level, to understand how well you know the subjects


10. Statistics - Mastery Level by Topic Area

Review percentage scores by subject area and mastery level


11. Pocket Prep – Offline Access

ExamPrep is available offline and is device agnostic – allowing you to revise at a time and place that suits you. Scores are synchronised with results history once you log back in online.
