Student Tutorial – Submitting Logbook of ACAP Academic Learning

IMPORTANT: Electronic forms are most compatible with the free browser Google Chrome. If you need

to save or print, you can ONLY do so using Chrome.

If you do not have Chrome on your computer, we recommend you download chrome and set it as

your default browser to avoid disappointment should you need to save or print. We apologise for this

inconvenience.

Student Timesheets:

Students are required to complete two sets of timesheets:

Timesheet 1: Agency Timesheet

This should be used to account ONLY for time spent on placement at the Agency or Agency related

tasks

Timesheet 2: Logbook – Field Education Academic Learning Hours Form

This should be used ONLY to account for time spent at ACAP for attending Field Education seminars,

External Supervision and doing other academic tasks

Which hours are recorded in SONIA Lobook??

A total of 40 ACAP hours are spent attending the Field Education Seminars and are to be used for

completing SONIA academic tasks, completing the Field Education Readings and/ or attending group

supervision (if applicable).

Students are required to log these hours through Logbook – Field Education Academic Learning Hours

Form in SONIA and this will be approved by ACAP Educators.

• The seminar days at ACAP can be accounted as 8 hours/ day x 5 Fridays at ACAP

If a student does not attend a seminar they will have to contact the Field Education Coordinator

for advise on how to make for the hours

Students receiving External Supervision will receive a minimum of 11 hours of one-on-one

External Supervision which will also be recorded in the same form

MSWQ FE1 Students who attended all 4 days of the Professional Skills Intensive Workshop (and

have received confirmation of their attendance from ACAP) can account for relevant hours in the

Logbook.

How do I get to Logbook – ACAP Academic Learning Hours module in SONIA?

Step 1: Go to FORMS section and open ‘Logbook – Field Education Academic

Learning Hours’ Form by clicking ‘Edit’

Step 2: Read instructions of the log book carefully

Step 3: To add a new entry, click on ‘Add new Timesheet

Step 4: Add all the information to each logbook entry

Step 5: Save draft after each logbook entry

Step 6: Submit the logbook after all the entries have been added
