PROCESS IN A UNIVERSITY.

INTRODUCTIONThis project is for PGPM program for Information System for Managers of Class 2016-2018.In this project we have hypothetically thought of AS IS process of University, and have prepared a more sophisticated process TO BE to make registration process more convenient.

AS IS DiagramA visual representation with a common ground means less confusion and saves more time for the actual re-engineering part and that standard is called Business Process Model Notation (BPMN). In BPMN, the current process to be enhanced is called As-Is process.

AS IS Analysis1. First of all student have to fill the offline admission form2. After filling the admission form next step is to pay the amount of the admission form3. If student is not paying the amount till the due date your admission form will be rejected.4. If you have filled there registration form then you will be given a unique code generation.5. After getting the unique code generation student is required to give the attested copies of his/her testimonials6. Now he/she will be provided with an admit card via post or e-mail which includes a unique roll number to enter the examination premises along with the venue and date

AS IS Analysis (Continued)7. If student is not appeared in the exam then he/she is not able to continue the registration process, thus he/she can apply next year.8. If student appeared in the exam but not able to qualify the exam then he/she will try again next year.9. If student qualifies exam then a scorecard is generated for each qualifying student and according to the selection criteria if he/she meets the criteria then they will get a call/e-mail from the respective colleges for which they have qualified10. Now college Is allotted to each qualified student according to their requirements11. Now next step will be the submission of college allotment fees( 1st installment) till the due date. 12. If student fails to submit the allotment fees of the allotted college till the due date then his/her admission gets cancelled.

9. If student qualifies exam then a scorecard is generated for each qualifying student and according to the selection criteria if he/she meets the criteria 10. Now group discussion and personal interviews will be conducted for the qualified students.11. If they crack the GD/PI process then they will get respective college.12. If they are not able crack the GD/PI process they can apply next year.

If student fails to submit the allotment fees of the allotted college till the due date then his/her admission gets cancelled.15. If they paid the 1st installment till the due date then student will get a admission confirmation letter.

SCHEMADIAGRAM

Schema DiagramA database schema is the skeleton structure that represents the logical view of the entire database. It defines how the data is organized and how the relations among them are associated. It formulates all the constraints that are to be applied on the data.

A database schema defines its entities and the relationship among them. It contains a descriptive detail of the database, which can be depicted by means of schema diagrams. It’s the database designers who design the schema to help programmers understand the database and make it useful.

3. The linkage between the two different databases of schema diagrams is on the basis of the enrollment number which is common identification factor.

8.It is bit difficult to find real experts on BPR, since; you are going to invest a huge sum of money you need to have such experts to run the show
