and I need to turn this stress over to you to help me with.

at this information so I can remember and apply it well on my exam.

I need you to help me feel more confident going into the test

and relax a bit so I can concentrate. Lord, please help the people around me

to understand that I need to focus and study.

when it is all said and done, to know that I walked in and did my best.

Prayer For Studying Lord, I cannot believe how much time I waste.

Please help me be more intense about my studies. I really am

interested in the things that the professor says in class.

But when I finally sit down to study,

I welcome distractions from studying so easily.

You have given me a good mind, and you want me to explore your

creation. Give me enthusiasm, Lord, for the subjects I am studying.

Keep my eyes open and my mind on topic.

Help me learn the material so that I can explain it clearly

and convincingly to others, especially my friends.

Jesus, you must have spent a lot of time reflecting on life to think of the parables

that are recorded in the Gospels.

Make me a good, critical thinker and help me to express myself

INTELLECTLord, You are the Source of all Life,

in me, this plant which demands years and years of care, this thing in me,

me up with enthusiasm and sometimes exasperates me, I pray for this thing which runs

21WHAT I HAVE LEARNED (SOMETIMES THE HARD WAY)

• I’ve learned- that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

• I’ve learned- that no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back.

• I’ve learned- that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

• I’ve learned- that it’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.

• I’ve learned- that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you’d better know something.

• I’ve learned- that you shouldn’t compare yourself to the best others can do.

• I’ve learned- that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

• I’ve learned- that it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

• I’ve learned- that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

• I’ve learned- that you can keep going long after you can’t.

• I’ve learned- that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

• I’ve learned- that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

• I’ve learned- that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

• I’ve learned- that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

• I’ve learned- that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

• I’ve learned- that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

• I’ve learned- that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

• I’ve learned- that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

• I’ve learned- that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

23• I’ve learned- that maturity has more

to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

• I’ve learned- that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

• I’ve learned- that your family won’t always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren’t related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren’t biological.

• I’ve learned- that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

• I’ve learned- that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.

• I’ve learned- that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

• I’ve learned- that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

• I’ve learned- that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.

• I’ve learned- that we don’t have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

• I’ve learned- that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

• I’ve learned- that it’s hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people’s feelings and standing up for what you believe.

25MY GREATEST FRIEND

It used to amaze me what people really think about you, With all the time invested in them and

other things you do. The listening, the caring,

the encouragement you give them everyday; Those things are not always appreciated in any

kind of way.

The overtures of friendship offered, the ear you give to their woes;

They still can turn out to be your most awful foes.

Instead of returning your non judgmental stance, You discover that they have been judging you

unfairly quite by chance.

You discover there has been murmuring about some mistake they think you have made;

When all through out their life history, their mistakes do not fade.

Yet you fail to stoop to their level because you know it is not right, It is still hard to accept that ones you thought were your friends were only

ships passing you by night.

So through my experience, I’ve learned to take heed,

That the greatest friend I have is Jesus, indeed.

TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR A LONG AND PEACEFUL LIFE

(1) Thou shalt not worry, for worry is the most unproductive

(4) Thou shalt not cross bridges before you get to them, for no one yet has succeeded in

They can take better care of them than you can. (7) Thou shalt be a good listener,

Concentrate on what is happening in your life today.

28A simple prayer of 'Thanks Be To God' when we wake up starts

the day with His name on our lips. Dedicating the day ahead to the Lord will result

in a calm and peace in all we do and a fruitful day's work, yes even when things seem to go wrong.

Strength And Wisdom

Thank you, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry out to you in my times of need.

It is amazing to me that the Lord of the Universe would take time to listen to me and to care about what I say.

God, there are things happening around me right now that I do not understand. Some of these things make me feel weak,

helpless and afraid. Even in the midst of this, I know that

you are the Lord. I know that the situation is in Your hand,

and I trust You. I beseech you for strength and for wisdom that

I would be able to endure this situation and be able to handle it in a way

that would bring glory to Your name. In Jesus name. Amen.

Don’t ever be ashamed at feeling weak. Remember what the Bible says in 2

Corinthians 12:10:“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in

persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

the 3 Rosary prayer Novenas (27 days) in Thanksgiving.

From day to day, the meditations are in accordance with the guideline followed in the

Catholic Church.
