• Provide integrated advising on academic opportunities abroad that reaches more than 23,000 undergraduate students annually

• Work closely with faculty and academic advisors in departments and colleges to identify curriculum and programs abroad that match University curriculum

• Present hundreds of group advising and information sessions annually at the International Center and in collaboration with departments, colleges, and other academic support units on international educational opportunities for students and faculty

• Advocate for accessibility of programs abroad to diverse and sometimes underrepresented groups• Assist students with entire application process including academic planning and review of proposed

coursework by Admissions, Department, College, and Financial Aid• Administer general health and safety and country/culture specific pre-departure orientations• Work closely with university and program partners abroad to monitor students’ safety, academic

progress, well-being and success while abroad• Provide space and venues for returnees to reintegrate and re-acclimate into their personal and

academic lives at the University• Support students through the academic reintegration process and credit petitioning• Advise and support faculty through entire program development process for international programs• Advise and support faculty on vetting curriculum from universities abroad• Provide workshops for faculty focusing on: academic integrity abroad, risk management abroad,

curriculum design for programs abroad, health and safety for students abroad• Advocating and raising scholarships and assisting students on the application process
