CLIMATE AND CULTURE We will cultivate a safe and supportive learning environment for all, embracing our diversity, honoring and engaging all stakeholders, and promoting safety. STUDENT LEARNING AND ACHIEVEMENT Students will engage in a challenging, personalized, well-rounded education preparing every student to be college and career ready with the skills needed to be successful in the community and world. OPERATIONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS We will be innovative and accountable to the community, through measurable outcomes and continuous improvement. Priority 1: Provide a personalized learning experience for all students. Value and Belief: We provide opportunity and choice. Outcome: By 2023, 95% of students in grades 2-12 will have a district-approved personalized learning plan. By 2023, 75% of schools will be rated “3 - Stabilizing” on the Innovation Configuration Continuum. Priority 2: Align systems so all students graduate on time and are college and career ready. Value and Belief: We know every child can achieve. Outcome: By 2021, 90% of students will graduate on time. By 2020, average daily student attendance will be 95% or higher. Priority 3: Implement an instructional framework that reflects both the art and science of teaching to ensure all students learn. Value and Belief: We commit to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. Outcome: By 2018, 99% of teachers will score proficient or higher on the professional practice teacher effectiveness rubric. By 2023, 75% of students who are learning English as a second language will be fluent English proficient within five years. Priority 4: Align curriculum and assessment practices that are research-based and define clear, concise targets. Value and Belief: We commit to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. Outcome: By 2020, 75% of students will score a 3 or higher on the Colorado Measures of Academic Success in math and English language arts in 3rd through 8th grades. By 2022, 75% of students in reading/writing and 55% of students in math will be at or above the national mean score on PSAT and SAT. Outcome: By 2019, 80% of focus group participants will indicate satisfaction with district and school communication. Priority 2: Align district resources to maximize student achievement and create a culture of continuous improvement. Value and Belief: We commit to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. Outcome: By 2020, district-wide programs and practices will be evaluated to ensure proper resource alignment. Priority 1: Ensure cultural proficiency throughout the system.
