New Aeries User Interface (UI) – June 2017

Below is a quick summary of the enhancement:

1. To login to the new UI:

Go to the Aeries login page normally

Instead of entering the login information – click on “OFF” button to turn on the new UI. Another

window opens for user to enter the login information.

2. Styling and Fonts

Likely what you'll notice first is that we've updated the styling and fonts, embracing a design that emphasizes negative space to

boost comprehension and clarity.

3. Searchable Side bar – Sidebar menu navigation

Another area we knew we could make a big improvement on was the sidebar navigation. In user testing, we

uncovered that users found our previous sidebar difficult to navigate due to small text size and massive tree

structure. Other users outlined that they never actually browsed reports, choosing to search for them instead. So,

the sidebar is all-new with 3 switchable sections you can easily navigate between - "Pages", "Reports" and

"Favorites". With these enhancements, it's possible to get anywhere in Aeries in just a couple of clicks.

4. Student Search – Reverse lookup

Users can search for student(s) by typing in any part of the name or click on the magnifying glass to search

using different options (reverse lookup) such as phone number, address, DOB, contact information …

5. Quick access to student demographic information from any page

The student demographic information is accessible from any page. It can be “tucked” away by clicking on the down arrow

to give more room to the page.

6. Attendance Dashboard

This provides a quick summary chart of attendance and enrollment information for each school
