Student Account Functional Lead (Internal Only) Closes: Monday, April 2, 2018 (Job #18-19) Administrative Analyst/Specialist II (AA/S II), Student Account Functional Lead, $4,693 - $7,769/month. (Appointments are normally made at the beginning of the salary range.) This is a full-time, 12 -month, exempt position with a one-year probationary period in Student Financial Services. This position is an in- ternal only search, open only to current HSU employees. Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Manger of Student Financial Services, this position provides administrative and analytic support to the department. Performs duties involving daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes with the PeopleSoft student system, the CASHNet cashiering system, and the Raiser’s Edge donor database. The AA/S II is the subject matter expert within Student Financial Services providing both function- al and technical support to the functionality of the system as related to fee assessments, fee waivers, holds, commu- nication, ACH direct payment, billing, tax forms, collection activity, student account activity, application of pay- ment and prioritization, student activity guide, etc. The subject matter expert’s responsibilities include evaluations, detection of errors and irregularities, and suggested solutions for the appropriate application of the student system. The position will also act as the lead for the Cashier’s Office. These responsibilities include scheduling, job assign- ments, resolving issues, cash reconciliations, business process improvements, and updating business process guides and desk procedures. Minimum Qualifications: General knowledge and skills in student financial services, with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree OR through a combination of education and work experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities re- quired for this position – primarily the ability to provide program leadership of a strategic nature through planning activities, and the analysis, development, and evaluation of highly complex programs. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of computing systems and automated, networked environments. Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft integrated software system including: experience with configuring busi- ness processes, maintaining fee tables, automating processes, implementing new functionality, communication generation, and testing systems upgrades. Ability to establish, maintain cooperative working relations and communications with diverse population of students, faculty, staff, community and outside organizations. Ability to effectively learn, interpret and apply program rules, regulations, and CSU policies into the business processes of the department. High level of independent problem solving, active decision making, judgment, and technical skills. Thorough knowledge of ICSUAM cash handling policy including experience with implementing best business practices procedures, standard cash handling internal control, segregation of duties and PCI Compliance. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines; ability to multi-task; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Moderate to advanced electronic spreadsheet skills and word processing Ability to function independently with minimal guidance and supervision. Ability to effectively present ideas and concepts in written or presentation format and use consultative and fa- cilitation skills to gain consensus Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Two years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including analysis, evaluation, report gener- ation, and independent performance.
