Dear Families, February began with Studebaker celebrating Great Kindness Week. Kindness and respect continue to be the attributes that we strive for at Studebaker Elementary. Kindness Week was celebrated with many fun and meaningful activities including wearing hats for Hats off for Kindness, crazy shoes for Kindness Ties us Together, and jerseys for Team Kindness, to name a few. These activities complement our ongoing focus of anti-bullying.Valentine’s Day is always a special time in February. Besides exchanging Valentines, we also had Moms & Muffins. The morning was filled with excitement as moms, grandmothers, and aunts joined students for muffins, coffee, and hot chocolate. More than 400 muffins were served so we’d like to extend a big thank you to PTA for sponsoring this great event, and to dads who helped set up and serve.Our annual Founder’s Day program was a huge success. This year our 3rd graders celebrated our country with songs about the 50 states, California and George Washington while Kindergarten students sang

several patriotic songs. We are very proud of the performances and would like to thank all parents who attended. Lastly, Studebaker night at Chuck E Cheese was a blast! The room was filled with laughter as students and parents played games, ate pizza, and had a great time. We raised over $1,000 for our school that night. Thank you to everyone for your support.

Estimados padres,

Febrero comenzó con Studebaker celebrando la semana del Gran Reto de Amabilidad. La bondad y el respeto continua siendo los atributos por los cuales luchamos en la escuela primaria Studebaker. La semana de amabilidad se celebró con varias actividades divertidas y significativas. Esto incluyó a estudiantes usando sombreros, zapatos locos y camisetas deportivas, por sólo nombrar algunos. Estas actividades complementan nuestro continuo esfuerzo por enfocarnos en el anti acoso escolar.

El día de San Valentín siempre es un día especial en febrero. Además de intercambiar tarjetas de San Valentín, también tuvimos Moms & Muffins. La mañana fue muy emocionante. Mamás, abuelitas, y tías acompañaron a nuestros estudiantes a disfrutar de pastelillos, café, y chocolate caliente. Servimos más de 400 pastelillos. Gracias a PTA por patrocinar este gran evento, y un agradecimiento especial a todos los papás que ayudaron a preparar y servir.

Nuestro programa anual de Founder’s Day fue un gran éxito. Este año los estudiantes de 3er grado y Kinder hicieron una presentación. El 3er grado celebró nuestro país con canciones sobre los 50 estados, California y George

Washington. Los estudiantes de kinder cantaron varias canciones patrióticas. Los estudiantes hicieron un excelente trabajo. Gracias a todas las familias que asistieron.

Finalmente, la noche de Studebaker en Chuck E Cheese estuvo genial! Los estudiantes y padres jugaron juegos, comieron pizza y la pasaron muy bien. Recaudamos más de $1,000 para

nuestra escuela esa noche. Gracias a todos por su apoyo.
