What's live-stream? Live stream is a method to broadcast an audiovisual presentation in real time over theInternet. The platform permits audience members to view and listen to a presentationand to participate by typing in questions and comments in a chat box. Why is CSHP-BC Branch hosting a live-stream only STU this year? In an effort to protect our pharmacy community and prevent the spread of viral illnessrelated to COVID-19, CSHP-BC Branch has decided to host a live-stream only eventthis year. 6:05 - 6:15 PM Greetings from CSHP-BC Branch Executive Council & CSHP-BC Branch Award Presentation 6:15 - 7:05 PM The Top 20 GOAT Medications - and How to Make Sure You Don't Miss the Next Latest and Greatest Medication Dr. James McCormack. BScPharm, PharmD Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences UBC, Vancouver, BC This presentation will discuss the top 20 medications of all time, and establish a systematic process to evaluate pharmacotherapy and assess whether therapy will be the next "GOAT" medication. 7:05 - 7:35 PM Osteoporosis in CKD: Same Same but Different Dr. Wynnie Lau. BScPharm, ACPR, PharmD Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Renal/Hemodialysis St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, BC We all know that Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral Bone Disease (CKD- MBD) is a common complication, but osteoporosis in a CKD patient often feels like a black-box where pharmacists are asked about anti-fracture pharmacologic agents and whether they are truly contraindicated in this population. In this presentation, Dr. Lau will discuss the current management strategies as a CKD patient's renal function declines and the pharmacologic advances in the treatment and monitoring for osteoporosis in a CKD patient. 7:35 - 7:40 PM Intermission 7: 40- 8:25 PM Checkmate? A Review of the Epidemiology of Carbapenem- Resistant Enterobacteriaceae and our Last Line of Defense Dr. Kieran Shah. BScPharm, ACPR, PharmD Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Critical Care Surrey Memorial Hospital, Fraser Health, BC This presentation will focus on the epidemiology of carbapenem- resistant enterobacteriaceae (CRE) and treatment options within a Canadian hospital setting. It will also focus on controversies such as empirically treating patients suspected to have sepsis secondary to CRE infections and combination strategies.

1. To expose attendees to clinical topics/controversies in pharmacy practice.

2. To improve knowledge of various areas of pharmacy practice.

3. To keep up-to-date in the areas of osteoporosis treatment in Chronic Kidney

Disease, treatment of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae organisms, and

critical appraisal in order to evaluate the next GOAT medication.
