I. INTRODUCTION: According to KURT LEWIN who is
one of the famous researchers “if you want it done, you may as well do it yourself”. It is true, if you want unique and innovative solution to certain problem might as well do it by yourself. Action research is basically a group activity and is kind of research through which people worked together towards improvement of their own practices; this can also be used in real life situation arises in school, classroom and performance of the students towards learning.
II. OBJECTIVES:Design and develop an action research focused on solving instructional problems in the class.Apply knowledge in Microsoft excel in using statistical method.Recognize the importance of conducting an action research in solving problems in school.
B. ANALYSIS:
• Two sets of templates were given to the participants• They will reflect and analyze the situations as shown in the activity
Template no.1• What is the problem identified?• What is the story behind the problem?
C. ABSTRACTION: One effective way of finding solutions to
instructional problems at the classroom level is through conducting an Action Research with the aid of mathematical concepts with statistical interpretation. An Action Research is either a work collaboration of group or individual activity and is a kind of research through which people works towards development and improvement of their practices. Through the use of technology like Microsoft Excel, SPSS and Scientific Calculator the action research can be interpreted as simple as the use of Mean, Mastery Level, SD and Standardized test. It aims to contribute both to practical concerns in an immediate problematic situation of the commitment, even collaborate with each other of the system in order to attain an optimum goal.
D. APPLICATION:
Construct an Action Research individually for the compliance of Division City Schools and Local Government requirement
