On site application should only be carried out for remedial work, or when the glazing requirement does not allow otherwise.4. Structural sealant dimensions for Dowsil 895 and Dowsil 993 are calculated and approved by Dowsil technical department prior to commencement of project.5. To obtain the ultimate physical properties from DOWSIL 993 Structural Glazing Sealant it is recommended that the base and curing agent are thoroughly mixed in the recommended ratio of base to catalyst (by weight) of 9:1 to 11:1

Dowsil® 895Structural glazing adhesive, UV stable

Dowsil® 895 is a one part, neutral curing silicone sealant designed specifically for the structural bonding of glass, metal and other building components. It can also be used for stiffening elements to building panels.

Uses:• Withstands extreme weather events such as hurricanes and typhoons• A flexible anchor that retains glass under seismic activity• A flexible cushion to absorb the daily differential thermal dilatation between glass and metal frame• A durable bond with long-term resistance to ultraviolet (UV) light

Advantages:• Meets European standard for structural glazing (ETA-01/0005); only black colored material• Excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates• Excellent stability through wide temperature range• Resistant to ozone and UV

Dowsil® 993Fast cure, structural glazing adhesive

Dowsil® 993 is a two component, neutral curing silicone formulation specifically developed for the structural bonding of glass, metal and other building components.
