KEY AIMS
With tenants we agreed our key aims should be:• Identify critical support paths for
affected tenants• Develop some downsizing options• Maximise tenants’ income• Help in getting online
OPPORTUNITIES FOR TENANTS• Havebury offers a range of courses through
the website and via our quarterly publication
• Career and Guidance programme – a seven week programme where tenants are seen for one hour a week
• Outward bound courses offered to tenants’ children aged between 16 and 24
• Work experience• A partner of Fresh Festival – promoting
innovation and opportunities to young people
OUTCOMES TO DATE
• 12 people in total have found employment
• 6 people have been on work placements
• 2 people have been sent on external provision training
• 2 people are/have been volunteering• 24 tenants have completed the
Career & Guidance programme with 9 more booked in for September
IN SUMMARY …
Tenants have helped us by:• Providing a sounding board• Reinforcing the need to maintain
income collection rates• Steering our programme on learning,
development and employment• Shaping incentives• Engaging with us – often really slow
start, but nothing succeeds like success
