Background

The current issue of violence against children, women, and

family members is an issue of human rights that everyone in society

must be involved in preventing and solving problems. It is not a private matter anymore. A survey of the situation of violence against

children, women, and family members in Wangsaipoon Sub-district

in March 2015 from 360 families, there were 70 percent of domestic

violence such as abuses (psychological, verbal, and physical). The

results of the survey mentioned above make the community aware of

the importance of domestic violence. It has joined the Strong Sub-

district with Non-violence (Fight for Zero Violence) with Department

of Women’s Affairs and Family Development of Ministry of Social

Development and Human Security. This is to build a management of

family violence for sub-district by having involvements from society

and community to protect, solve problems of family violence, and build a surveillance network of family violence.

Objectives

Methods

1. There are 2 surveys of situations

of domestic violence against children,

women, and family members in

Wangsaipoon Sub-district in March

2015 from 360 families in March and

July of 2015.

2. There are 2 forums to present the

situation of domestic violence to

evaluate for Protection Plan and

Solutions in April and August of 2015.

3. Hold forums to educate family

members to reduce domestic violence.

leaders about domestic violence to

enhance knowledge and build networks

to prevent and resolve violence against

children, women, and family members.

domestic violence by the events in

form of "Walk Rally".

Results

1. A survey of the situation of violence

against children, women, and family members in Wangsaipoon Sub-district

in July 2015 from 360 families found

that the domestic violence such as

abuses (psychological, verbal, and

physical) has reduced to 10 percent.

2. There is a surveillance, protection

and solving problems of violence

against children, women, and family

violence continuously. In 2016, there

will be integration with network

operations in the area, which will lead to sustainability in its operations further.

Results

Conclusions

Wangsaipoon community can participate

in resolving numbers of violence in

the area with other agencies and

organizations such as temples, schools,

public health agencies, women's

groups, and youth organizations in

the area. There is integration of MOU

of cooperation among networks to

solve violence problems.

Also they can bring data of situation

in the area to determine an action

plan to reduce violence and stress

that the continuation of the project in the area.
