Strip Collage From Single Image User Guide There are only few things you should know before start using actions: You must have only one (1) layer in Layers panel and it must be Background.For best results use actions with ver in action name (63 Pieces ver for example) with portrait images and actions with hor in name (56 Pieces hor for example) with landscape images.

Load ActionsTo load actions first display Actions panel from Window > Actions. Click on Actions panel menu and choose Load Actions. Navigate to Strip Collage from Single Image.atn file and double click on it.

Change Pixel Dimensions and ResolutionBefor running any action you can change pixel dimensions and resolution from Image > Image Size. Actions are size and resolution independent.

Play ActionTo play action select it in Actions panel then click Play button at the bottom. For vertically oriented images play actions with ver in name (23 Pieces ver for example). For horizontaly oriented images play actions with hor in actions name (29 Pieces hor for example).

Actions IndexAfter loading actions you will see total of 13 actions. Here I will list and explain what each of actions is doing.• Actions which names starts with XX Pieces are actually creating effect. Play this

actions with Background layer only, if you have layered file flatten it from Layer >Flatten Image.

• Scale Styles is action to scale Layer Effects: Drop Shadow and bevel and Embosswhich are included in final effect and part of action. At the end of action you willsee Layer Style dialog where you can adjust setting for effects but I believe it iseasier to accept defaults by clicking OK and later to scale them. Run this actionafter creating effect (after running any of first 13 actions listed) and without anyextra layers created.

• Clear Style action will delete or remove any effect applied.• Style 1-3 are additional Layer Styles which you can use to decorate created strips.

• Group Layers action will create group from strip pieces created by action. Runthis action after running any of first 13 actions listed and do not run actions fromStyles group (Style 1-3) after running Group Layers.

• Smart Object from Pieces action will create Smart Object layer from strip collagepieces (Layer 1 - 63).

• Delete Layers action is handy if you want different effect of already created. Runthis action to delete all layers beside Background layer from Layes panel. Do notrun actions which creates effect (first 13 actions listed) one after another withoutdeleting layers.

• New From Background action is creating new document by duplicatingBackground layer. This action is handy if you want to create several effect and tocompare them. As already mentioned run first 13 actions with Background layeronly in Layers panel.
