Recognize…• What Bullying is:

• An intentional written, verbal, or physical act against another student

Recognize…• What role you have in

stopping/preventing Bullying:

• Bystander – use positive peer pressure to encourage others to be Empathetic

• Use positive words – avoid sarcasm, teasing

• Offer a positive or encouraging comment – helping someone else feel good about themselves only makes you feel better

Possible Discussion:Think about things you have seen:Are they bullying, what did you do, how do you think that person felt?

Refuse…

• Refuse to listen to bullying behavior• Tell people to stop

• Refuse to participate in bullying behavior

• Refuse to keep “secrets”

Report…• Bullying needs to be reported• If adults don’t know, it will not change

Report…• Speak up!• You are telling not to get the person in trouble; You are

telling to STOP bullying
