AC surge arrestor
Receiver to Transmitter interface cable protection
The lightning protection bulkhead offered by Wxline should be installed and properly bonded to a conductor that is near and common to the building earth ground system. To further improve personal safety and equipment protection during a local thunderstorm, a secondary surge arrestor (for commercial AC power) should be installed at the building service entrance (per NEC). In addition, the RF cable used by WAVE equipment should enter the building at the service entrance and should pass through an appropriate, grounded RF surge suppressoror a ground block at the building service entrance.
