Session 1: Introduction to Mechanical Engineering Softwares

Speaker: Prof. Sreyas C. (HoD of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, MITT)

An overview of all the leading Mechanical Engineering Softwares was given to the

Session 2: ‘AutoCAD’ Training

Trainer: Mr. Ravikumar S., Foreman of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, MITT

During this session, students were given hands on experience on the usage of AutoCAD

Software mainly highlighting the usage of 2 D workbench in the Software.

DAY 2: 23rd January 2018 (Tuesday)

'Mechatronics' Training at MIT Mysore

Trainer: Prof. Kishan G. S and Prof. Rakesh R. of Dept. of Mechanical Engg, MIT Mysore

Students were taken to MIT Mysore. They were trained on Mechatronics Kits at ‘Centre

of Excellence for Mechatronics’. Practical experience was given to the students along

with theoretical understanding stressing the significance, application and need of

Mechatronics in modern day technological products.

DAY 3: 24th January 2018 (Wednesday)

Industrial Visit to ‘INFENSOL’

Guide: Mr. Santhosh M. S., Business Head

Students were shown the manufacturing of uPVC Windows showcasing the Materials and Processes involved.

Industrial Visit to ‘MS Plastic, Polymers and Polyweavers Pvt. Ltd.’

Guide: Mr. Ghanshyam, Plant Incharge

Students were taken inside the production areas of Plastic Mats, Tanks, Bottles, Cans and Jars. Live demonstration of ‘Blow Moulding Process’ was veryinformative to the students.

DAY 1: 22nd January 2018 (Monday)

Session 1: ‘German Language’ Training

Speaker: Dr. Benjamin Sukumar S., Language Director, Institute of Language Studies

Introduction to German Language was given to the students. Students of CSE and ISE Branches also attended this session.

Session 2: ‘Casting’ process Demonstration

Instructor: Prof. Ajay Kumar K., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engg., MITT

Prof. Yashvanth S. V., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engg., MITT

Live demonstration of Metal Casting Process was done in front of students. Molten Tin

Material was poured on to the sand mould carrying MIT Logo. Plaster of Paris model

was also prepared to show the usage of Cope and Drag boxes.
