Overall objective:• To contribute to a high level of protection of consumers in

Serbia.

Purpose:• The market surveillance system in Serbia is able to

effectively and efficiently perform its tasks and responsibilities under the new legislation for product safety and food safety, and to protect against products that pose serious threats to health, safety, and the environment.

Result Area 1: • Enhancing the technical capacity of MTT-MI and the other

beneficiaries, to include new rules and regulations aligned with the acquis communautaire as well as support for implementation and enforcement of relevant technical legislation in agreement with the legal framework for product safety in Serbia.

development of MS authorities and improving cooperation as well as coordination.

• We have coordination with at least 3 donors in the main field of the Project– In particular we are considering the use of data of the

Consumer Complaints database in the MIS• Coordination with the Consumer Protection Project could

be enhanced in:– The GPSD area– The performance setting of Market Surveillance actions
