Programme Goal & PurposeGoal: To strengthen the impact of the actions of development actors on improving the lives of the poor and marginalised through greater realisation of their human rights and sustainable development

Purpose: To lead a process to create the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes for overseas UK NGOs to rigorously manage and report on their contribution to social development and for BOND to make a significant contribution to progress with global NGO development effectiveness ambitions

Programme Objectives (1)Objective 1: BOND will develop a framework for managing and reporting NGOs development effectiveness which is both flexible and rigorous, allowing different NGOs to describe and be held to account for the quality of their work in ways that reflects their values and which provides compelling evidence.

Objective 2: BOND will work with its members to understand what constitutes good practice in participation and to describe what an optimal set of relationships with partners and beneficiaries looks like as a means to judge practice.

Programme Objectives (2)

Objective 3: BOND will advocate for and promote an organisational culture which considers indicators of key organisational values, particularly around participation, and building sustainable and accountable relationships as an essential management and reporting requirement.

Objective 4: BOND will seek to have significant influence in the ongoing efforts at European and global level to define and disseminate principles of CSO Effectiveness with a view to sharing experience from the programme to strengthen practice in the international NGO sector more broadly.
