Since July 2018: 65 communies received support. COMMUNITY CHANGE: Broadband meets US average speed: 15 islands & 15 coastal by 2020 120 island/coastal by 2025 Since January 2015: $8.2M in househould savings 21% island homes weatherized (target=25%) 142,000 tons CO 2 emissions avoided COMMUNITY CHANGE: Energy costs: Islands no more than 50% above the mainland cost by 2020 120 island/coastal at US avg. by 2025 45 communies received technical assistance or training for sea level rise flooding resiliency. 2020 Target: officials from 50 communies have training on disaster preparedness; 25 crical and affected coastal infrastructure projects account for sea level rise projecons COMMUNITY CHANGE: Maine’s coastal and island communies will have the resiliency to weather sea level rise and flooding effects.
