Little Athletics WA Strategic Plan 2016-2019The Little Athletics WA Strategic Plan is a four-year plan built around five strategic pillars; Business Sustainability, Engagement and Growth, Events and Competition, Brand and Innovation and Facilities &Infrastructure. These pillars, developed in consultation with member Centres, are fundamental to the Plan and serve to guide the future direction and efforts of Little Athletics WA.

Underpinning the development, growth and future success of athletics in WA, is the harmonious co-operation between Little Athletics and Athletics WA to transition to ‘One Sport’. One Sport is a partnership between the athletic bodies providing developmental pathways for athletes, coaches, and officials, whilst providing age appropriate programs for all abilities. It will also enable efficiencies within the sport through activities including joint planning, shared resources, complimentary activities and programs, clarity of competition pathways, and respective Board representation.

Little Athletics WA has commenced a rebuilding phase conducting a holistic review of governance and support structures with a view to achieve ‘One Sport’. The strategic plan will drive the achievement of coherent pathways and innovative programs that are inclusive and cater for young athletes of all abilities. Little Athletics provides the grounding and skill development in the fundamentals of movement; the foundation for all sports. We will deliver the sport with an emphasis on fun and enjoyment, in an environment which the whole family can enjoy together, whilst promoting health, fitness and a lifelong participation in sport.
