Worked with our members who are involved in homelessness prevention and our allies to promote a series of bills including Code Blue. Worked to ensure Emergency Assistances reaches everyone who needs it.
Worked with Asm. Singleton to draft a Sandy foreclosure bill that passed the Assembly and worked to get Sen. Stack to sponsor that bill in the Senate.
Worked with our members who are involved in lead poisoning prevention to push legislation and get press on the issue. Successfully got the Governor to put $10 million into inspection and remediation of lead. Successfully got the Governor to strengthen the level of detection to the CDC standard.
Monitor lead funding promised and implementation
Held legislative Day where 150 advocates attended and we held 51 meetings with legislators or their staff.
