• Long-standing partnership since the 1930‘s

• General agreement to promote science in research and teaching was signed in 1980

• 2012: Tongji University officially became a strategic partner

• Since 2013 this strategic partnership is supported by DAAD in the program “Strategic Partnerships and Thematic Networks” with means from Federal Ministry of Education and Research

• 2014: Opening of the Liaison Office at Tongji University
