SPORTS DAY 2014
FRIDAY 27th JUNE
SPORTS DAY PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
Pupils who are competing during lesson 1 & 2 need to get changed during AM registration, go to their lesson and then leave 5 minutes before their event starts. Pupils competing during lesson 3 (Javelin) need to get changed at break time. Lunch will be early – during lesson 4. During lunch (12.05 – 12.55) those pupils who are not already in their PE kit need to get changed so we are ready to start straight after PM registration. After PM registration (12.33 – 13.05) tutors please bring your form outside onto the field. Events will start at 13.15. Pupils need to bring water and if necessary they may bring sun lotion and wear a suitable hat. In events where there are 3 competitors points will be awarded as follows: 1st = 6 points 2nd = 4 points 3rd = 2 points In events where there are 6 competitors points will be awarded as follows: 1st = 6 points 2nd = 5 points 3rd = 4 points 4th = 3 points 5th = 2 points 6th = 1 point Points will be awarded in the mile event as follows: <8 minutes = 6 points 8-10 minutes = 5 points 10 – 12 minutes = 4 points 12 – 14 minutes = 3 points 14 – 16 minutes = 2 points >16 minutes = 1 point Therefore the mile could make a huge difference in final team All pupils need to wear the sticky labels on the left hand sleeve of their PE polo shirts to enable correct positioning’s, particularly for the mile.
