Live Action Shots(Section One)

Page 3: Storyboard absent stage 4 life footage

Number 12 incorporates a fade into the stop motion which is very effective acting as a cross bridge between the live action and stop motion. Yet is remaining in the same location and this fade prevents a jump of shots.

1-12 :- As you can see the shot type used throughout this sequence is an extreme close up to show intricate movement and is very effective complimented with quick cuts .Also the Mise-one scene is very stereotypical concentrating on the car key pad. Also it shows the starting of the music. This is very effective and shows the stereotypical necessary movements to start a car.

Stop Motion Shots(Section 2 )

‘In The Car’

Page 6: Storyboard absent stage 4 life footage

As you can see this is a establishing shot to show the transition from the close ups used in the live action .Also it sets the scene of a band setting as almost a ‘gig’ . Subsequently there is a series of quick cuts acting as a zoom to a stable point showed on the next frame.

Following is a series of zoom in shots which are graduated . This leads to a series of fixed shots which as shot 3 shows the appearance of the 7 band members as almost teleporting this acts as a movement from a establishing shot to a zoomed close up as all the full bodies of the band members can be seen ,but due to it being zoomed you can see the movements and emotions of the characters more precisely . This becomes the main position of the camera throughout the car scene and in this way becomes and establishing shot to set the scene of the video.
