The more a person understands about past events, civilizations, people, and ideas, the morethey will understand about themselves and present day realities.

Students of history learn good habits of thought and develop a number of useful skillsnecessary to succeed in life. The following are some skills which students of history oftendevelop:

What Is The Purpose Of This Class?

This class aims to accomplish three things. First, to introduce history in a fun and interesting

way. Students should enjoy learning and be engaged in what they are studying. Second, tohelp students become better students. This includes developing a sense of personalresponsibility, a strong work ethic, and improved organizational skills. Finally, to helpstudents feel more comfortable and more confident when using written and spoken English.

Class will meet for one hour, one time per week. It will take approximately one year to finisheach volume in the series. (See Attached Schedule)

There are three class options:

1 Student Per Class ( 200,000 per month)

Four x 1 hour classes per month. Lots of opportunity for discussion & interaction.

Most personalized level of instruction.

2 Students Per Class ( 150,000 per student, per month)

Four x 1 hour classes per month. Many opportunities for discussion & interaction. Great for friends!

4 Students Per Class ( 100,000 per student, per month)

Four x 1 hour classes per month. Small group class with more limited discussion.

Great for a group of friends or for less confident students.

1. Students MUST prepay for an initial two month period. After the initial two monthperiod, students will be allowed to pay on a monthly basis.

2. Students should have a Good Command of the English language. This is not just anEnglish class, it is a History class taught in English.(See Attachment 1 Reading Sample)

3. Students MUST come to class prepared. If students aren't prepared they won't be able tolearn. (Prepared means all materials, required reading, homework, etc.)

4. Students MUST agree to follow the classroom rules.(See Attachment 2 Classroom Rules)

5. If a student misses class, they are still responsible for the material covered in class that day.Check the schedule and complete the missed work. There are No Refunds for missedclasses.

1. Come to class prepared. (Books, pencils, erasers, homework, etc.)

(If you aren't prepared, don't come to class. You will just waste both your time and my time.)

2. No phones in class.

(If you can't survive one hour without checking your phone, you probably won't do well in this class.)

3. No bad language.

(Don't use language that you wouldn't use in front of your parents.)

4. Respect your classmates and your teacher.

(I don't want to teach a class full of barbarians. Show a little respect.)

5. Act your age.

(I am a teacher, not a baby sitter.)
