Communion to the Sick Those parishioners who are confined to their home may
request the Sacrament of Holy Communion by calling the
Parish Office.

SECOND COLLECTION The second collection today is your offering for support of
Senior Priests. Collected funds are used for the support of our
Retired Priests and provide health and other welfare benefits
for our Senior and Disabled Priests. Support or services
provided to our Retired and Senior Priests include allowances
for living expenses, medical, dental, vision, and short term
disability coverage benefits. Please be as generous as you can
to support and provide the needed care and services that our
Senior and Retired Priests deserve. Thank you for your

EASTER GIFT TO YOUR PARISH Thank you to all the parishioners who donated so generously to
the Easter Parish Gift. A total of $ 5,142 was donated. We are
extremely grateful for your generosity.
RECTORY OFFICE CLOSED-MONDAY, APRIL 2nd The Rectory office will be closed on Monday, April 2nd in
observance of Easter.
SPANISH MASS ON THURSDAY, APRIL 5H On Thursday, April 5th a Spanish Mass will be celebrated at
7:30pm to continue with the Divine Mercy Novena.
HOLY HOUR ON EVERY 1st FRIDAY OF THE MONTH
This Friday, April 6th is the first Friday of month, We will
have the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after the 9am
Mass and at 7pm. The Spanish Mass will be at 8:00pm.
FEAST OF THE DIVINE MERCY
The Sunday after Easter (April 8th) is celebrated as the "Feast of Divine Mercy". Look in the center of the bulletin for more
information.
TRIP TO LANCASTER Our trip to Lancaster this year is to see the play “JESUS” on
June 23rd, 2018. To register, a deposit of $25 is due at the
Rectory. If you are interested please call Grace Olavarria at
917-771-3798 or the Rectory at 718-768-6065.
DISTRIBUTION OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD We have not been distributing the Precious Blood as Mass
during the past two months because the "Flu" (Influenza)
Virus was so severe during this past Wednesday. As of Holy
Thursday (March 29th), Bishop DiMarzio has given
permission that parishes may once again distribute Holy
Communion under "two species" (the Host and the Cup), so
we will return again to the practice of offering Holy
Communion under both species here at St. Michael's. As a
reminder, we believe that when we receive the Consecrated
Host in Holy Communion, we are receiving Jesus in His
"Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity". While receiving both the
Host and from the Cup (Chalice), helps us to recall what Jesus
did for His Apostles (and for us) at the Last Supper, it is an
option and a personal preference whether one chooses to
receive from the Cup. If any one has questions about receiving
Communion, you can always feel free to speak to a priest.
U.S CITIZENSHIP EXAM PREPARATION CLASSES Industry City is offering Free classes to lawful permanent U.S.
residents to prepare for the citizenship application process,
interview and test. Citizenship/ESL classes offered on
Thursday evenings, 6pm-9pm beginning late April at Industry
City Innovation Lab 87 35th St. between 2nd and 3rd ave.

FIRST COMMUNION PRACTICE There will be First Communion practice on Saturday, April
7th and on Saturday, May 12th from 12:30pm-2:30pm
in the church.
MEETING FOR CONFIMATION
STUDENTS & PARENTS
There will be a meeting on Sunday, April 22nd at 8:30am in
Spanish and 10:30am in English for all Confirmation Students
and their parents in the school auditorium. Attendance will be
taken, please attend this important meeting.
CONFIRMATION CONFESSIONS There will be Confessions for students who will be receiving
their confirmation on Thursday, April 26th at 7:00pm
in the Church.

MISA EN ESPAÑOL EL JUEVES, 5 DE ABRIL
El jueves, 5 de abril celebraremos misa en español después de
la Novena de la Divina Misericordia, a las 7:30pm.
HORA SANTA CADA PRIMER VIERNES DEL MES Este Viernes, 6 de abril es el primer Viernes del mes,
tendremos Exposición del Santísimo después de la misa de las
9:00am y a las 7:00pm. La misa se celebrara a las 8:00pm.
FIESTA DE LA DIVINA MISERICORDIA El domingo, 8 de abril se celebra la "Fiesta de la Divina Misericordia". Mire el centro del boletín para más detalles.
VIAJE A LANCASTER El 23 de Junio del 2018 será nuestro próximo viaje a Lancaster
para ver la obra “JESUS”. Para registrarse deje un depósito de
$25.00 en la rectoría. Si está interesado/a o tiene una pregunta

DISTRIBUCION DE LA SANGRE PRECIOSA No hemos distribuido la Preciosa Sangre en las misas durante
los últimos dos meses porque el virus de la "Influenza" (El Flu)
fue muy severo durante esta temporada. A partir del Jueves
Santo (29 de marzo), el Obispo DiMarzio ha dado permiso para
que las parroquias puedan distribuir nuevamente la Sagrada
Comunión bajo "dos especies" (la Hostia y el Cáliz), así que
volveremos a la práctica de ofrecer la Sagrada Comunión bajo
ambas especies aquí en San Miguel. Como recordatorio,
creemos que cuando recibimos la Hostia Consagrada en la
Sagrada Comunión, estamos recibiendo a Jesús en Su "Cuerpo,
Sangre, Alma y Divinidad". Mientras recibimos tanto la Hostia
como el Cáliz (copa), nos ayuda a recordar lo que Jesús hizo
por Sus Apóstoles (y por nosotros) en la Última Cena, es una
opción y una preferencia personal si uno elige recibir de la
Copa. Si alguien tiene preguntas sobre cómo recibir la
Comunión, siempre puede sentirse libre de hablar con un
sacerdote.
CLASES GRATIS: PARA EL EXAMEN DE CIUDADANÍA
Industry City está ofreciendo clases gratuitas a residentes
legales permanentes de EE. UU. Para prepararse para el proce-
so de solicitud de ciudadanía, entrevista y examen. Clases de
ciudadanía / ESL se ofrecen los jueves de 6pm a 9pm, a partir
de finales de abril en Industry City Innovation Lab 87 35th St.

The Divine Mercy Group of our parish extends a cordial invitation to all to participate in the festivities. On Sunday, April 8th after the 10:00pm Mass, there will be a raffle for prizes. The purpose of the raffle is to raise
funds to help with church repairs. Tickets are for sale, two for five dollars.

The 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal has begun!
During the next few weeks, many parishioners and those
who have made a pledge in the past will be receiving
materials in the mail. We encourage you to make a pledge or
a gift as soon as possible by returning the Pledge Form by
mail, bringing it to the Rectory Office, or by dropping it in
the Collection Basket.
Our goal for this year’s ACA is $39,425.
All donations exceeding the goal will be returned to the par-
ish, which will go towards paying off the balance from the
renovations of the “Pope Francis Parish Center”.
¡La Campaña Católica Anual 2018 ha comenzado!
Durante las próximas semanas, muchos feligreses y aquellos que
han hecho una promesa en el pasado recibirán materiales por
correo. Los alentamos a hacer un compromiso o un regalo lo antes
posible devolviendo el Formulario de Promesa por correo,
llevándolo a la Oficina de la Rectoría, o colocándolo en la
Canasta de la Colecta.
Nuestro objetivo para la ACA de este año es de $39,425.
