CREEDWe believe in one God, the Father, the almighty, maker of heaven and earth,of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father;God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,by the power of the Holy Spirithe became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man.For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose againin accordance with the Scriptures;he ascended into heavenand is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,who with the Father and the Sonis worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.We look for the resurrection of the dead,

and the life of the world to come. Amen.THE PRAYERSThese words may be used:

Lord, hear us Lord graciously hear usRest eternal grant unto them O Lordand let light perpetual shine upon them

We join our prayers with those of Our Lady, as we greet her and say:Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

THE PEACEChrist is our peace, he has reconciled us to God in one body on the CrossWe meet in his name, and share his peace. The peace of the Lord be always with you and also with you. All may share a socially distanced sign of peace

THE MINISTRY OF THE SACRAMENTYou may wish to use the following hymn as private devotion:

Hail to the Lord's Anointed!Great David's greater Son;Hail, in the time appointed,His reign on earth begun!He comes to break oppression,To set the captive free;

To take away transgression,And rule in equity. He comes with succour speedyTo those who suffer wrong; To help the poor and needy,And bid the weak be strong; To give them songs for sighing,Their darkness turn to light,Whose souls, condemned and dying,Were precious in his sight.

He shall come down like showersUpon the fruitful earth,Love, joy, hope, like flowers,Spring in his path to birth:Before him on the mountainsShall peace the herald go;And righteousness in fountainsFrom hill to valley flow.

Kings shall fall down before him,And gold and incense bring; All nations shall adore him,His praise all people sing;To him shall prayer unceasingAnd daily vows ascend; His kingdom still increasing,A kingdom without end.

O'er every foe victorious,He on his throne shall rest,From age to age more glorious,All-blessing and all-blest:The tide of time shall neverHis covenant remove;

His name shall stand for ever; That name to us is Love.

Words: James Montgomery (1771-1854)OFFERTORY PRAYERS

Pray my brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father;May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of His Name, for our good, and the good of all His Church.

O God, who in the offerings presented hereprovide for the twofold needs of human nature, nourishing us with food and renewing us with your Sacrament, grant, we pray, that the sustenance they providemay not fail us in body or in spirit. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYER

The Lord be with you and also with you.Lift up your hearts We lift them to the Lord.Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.It is right to give Him thanks and praise.

All kneel

It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.From sunrise to sunset this day is holy, for Christ has risen from the tomb and scattered the darkness of deathwith light that will not fade.

This day the risen Lord walks with your gathered people, unfolds for us your word, and makes himself known in the breaking of the bread.

And though the night will overtake this dayyou summon us to live in endless light, the never-ceasing Sabbath of the Lord.

And so, with choirs of angels and with all the heavenly host,we proclaim your glory and join their unending song of praise:Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory.Hosanna in the highest.Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.Hosanna in the highest.

Lord, you are holy indeed, the source of all holiness; grant that by the power of your Holy Spirit, and according to your holy will, these gifts of bread and winemay become the body and bloodof our Lord Jesus Christ;who in the same night that he was betrayed, took bread and gave you thanks; he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying:

TAKE, EAT; THIS IS MY BODY WHICH IS GIVEN FOR YOU; DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.

In the same way, after supper he took the cup and gave you thanks; he gave it to them, saying:

DRINK THIS, ALL OF YOU; THIS IS MY BLOOD OF THE NEW COVENANT, WHICH IS SHED FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THEFORGIVENESS OF SINS. DO THIS, AS OFTEN AS YOU DRINK IT, IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.

Great is the mystery of Faith:

All sayChrist has died, Christ is risen,

Christ will come again

And so, Father, calling to mind his death on the cross, his perfect sacrifice made once for the sins of the whole world; rejoicing in his mighty resurrection and glorious ascension, and looking for his coming in glory, we celebrate this memorial of our redemption.

As we bring before you this bread and this cup, we offer you this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving and we thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and serve you.

Lord, may this sacrifice, which has made our peace with you, advance the peace and salvation of all the world.Strengthen in faith your pilgrim Church on earth;your servant n our bishop, and all the bishops.

Welcome into your kingdom our departedbrothers and sisters, and all who have left this world in your friendship.

Send the Holy Spirit on your people and gather into one in your kingdom all who share this one bread and one cup, so that we, in the company of Mary,

the virgin Mother of God, of James, Simon & Jude, and all the saints, may praise and glorify you for ever,

through Jesus Christ our Lord;by whom, and with whom, and in whom, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honour and glory be yours, almighty Father, for ever and ever. Amen!

All say Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;thy kingdom come; thy will be done;on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

BREAKING OF THE BREAD

We break this bread to share in the body of Christ.Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share in one bread.

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us.Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us.Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, grant us peace.

THE INVITATION

Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those who are called to his supper.Lord, I am not worthy to receive you,but only say the word and I shall be healed.

The Body of Christ Amen! The Blood of Christ Amen!

There is one thing I ask of the Lord, only this do I seek:11

to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION FOR THOSE AT HOME

Spiritual Communion is a Christian practice of desiring union with Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Say the following prayerfully and quietly before saying the Prayer for Spiritual Communion:

Jesus my Lord, I thee adore, O make me love thee more and more.

Come to my heart Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart for thee.

FOR PRIVATE PRIVATE DEVOTION DURING COMMUNION

Blest are the pure in heart,For they shall see our God,The secret of the Lord is theirs,Their soul is Christ's abode.

The Lord, who left the heavensOur life and peace to bring,To dwell in lowliness with men,Their pattern and their King;

Still to the lowly soulHe doth himself impart,And for his dwelling and his throneChooseth the pure in heart.

Lord, we thy presence seek;May ours this blessing be;Give us a pure and lowly heart,A temple meet for thee.

Words: John Keble (1792-1866)A deep silence is kept

A POST-COMMUNION PRAYER

As this reception of your Holy Communion, O Lord, foreshadows the union of the faithful in you,so may it bring about unity in your Church.Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty God, we thank you for feeding us with the body and blood of your Son Jesus Christ. Through him we offer you our souls and bodies to be a living sacrifice. Send us out in the power of you Spirit to live and work to your praise and glory. Amen

THE ANGELUS:AN ACT OF THANKSGIVING FOR THE INCARNATION OF JESUS

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary: And she conceived by the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it unto me according to Thy word.

Hail Mary . . .

And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us.

Hail Mary . . .

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that as we have known the Incarnation of thy Son Jesus Christ by the message of an angel, so by His Cross and Passion may we be brought unto the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
