Health, Safety and Security at work.Maintain the quality of production working with textiles, leather and materials.Carry out the sewing process.Carry out hand pressing in the sewing process.Rotary fabric printing.Dyeing fabric.Maintaining the work area for manufacturing sewn products.Cutting materials for manufacturing sewn products.Carry out the tape sealing process in the products production of clothing and related items.Dyeing sewn garments.Screen printing individual items and garments.Carry out textile manufacturing operations.

Supporting machinist.Working on the design, development and production of fibres, yarns and textiles.Overseeing the dyeing, printing and finishing processes.Making and sizing preproduction garments.Supporting pattern cutters.Carry out a range of technical, investigative and quality control work to ensure the end product performs to specifications.Ensuring quality inareas such as strength, durability, colourfastness, and water and chemical resistance.Sourcing fabrics and accessories.Pressing fabrics.Work on the development of products, improving production efficiency and quality while liaising with those involved in the production process.Assisting commercial colleagues on technical aspects of the business.Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product.Stocking Garments.Identifying the latest fabric trends, developments and innovations.Liaising with designers, and adapting designs to suit production methods.Responding to product queries, including complaints, from wholesalers and customers.

Main duties and responsibilities at work will include:

Salary: Subject to age 16-18: Approximately £400 per month

4 days work and 1 day at College. Therefore applicants must be available 5 days a week 9am- 5pm.

Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Apparel, Footwear or Leather Production.Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Apparel Manufacturing Technology.
