Children who are bullied are more likely than other children to be depressed, lonely, anxious, have low self esteem, feel unwell, and think about suicide.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?Bullying prevention messages
are likely to be more effective
if they come from MANY adults
in a community- not just from
educators and parents!
•Talk to your patients about bullying- put up posters and provide
handouts to elicit conversation
•Know your local resources
•Encourage parents to talk to their child’s school
•REMEMBER: The kids are the experts- ask them, they
know what is going on!
