Preparing for student deployment

Decide on and set up an Apple ID. There are two choices:

• Use your own Apple ID for your child.

• Create a new Apple ID for your child that is not linked to a credit card. RECOMMENDED

Electronically sign the 1 to X user agreement.

5th grades at Stewart’s Creek?

Parents who will have more than one child in 4th at Stewart’s Creek have three choices:

Use your own Apple ID for all children.

Create a single Apple ID for all children.

Create a different Apple ID for each child.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

ABOUT IPAD COVERAGE Option 1

• $40 annual fee that that covers repairs and replacement

• $30 annual fee for students eligible under the National School Lunch and Child Nutrition Program income guidelines is available

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

ABOUT IPAD COVERAGEOption 2

• $50 one-time security deposit that does not cover replacements, repairs, accidental loss or damage

• If an iPad is lost, stolen or broken, the student/family is responsible for the expense of repair or fair-market value of the iPad

• The deposit is refundable when the device is returned, less the cost of any expenses incurred due to the failure of the student to return the device and accessories in acceptable condition

Students who receive iPads will go through the following stations to get acclimated to their iPad.

① iPad Checkout in TipWeb (checked out like a text book) 

② iPad Configuring - All students must input an Apple ID

③ Labeling Cases and Power Cables

① Customizing Stations - Take first photo for camera roll

Student will set picture as welcome page

② Downloading of Apps to help them get started using their device

③ Digital Citizenship/AUP review

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS• ALL PARENTS WILL FILL OUT A BLUE SHEET AND A YELLOW SHEET PER APPLE ID

BEFORE LEAVING. THE BLUE SHEET STAYS AT SCHOOL, THE YELLOW SHEET GOES HOME.
