*OPENING PRAYER Almighty and gracious Father, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision for our necessities, and for the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit; one God, now and forever. Amen.

SHARING OF PRAYER CONCERNS Pastor Mike UNISON THANKSGIVING PRAYER O Lord, our God, you are the giver of all good things! We thank you for all your blessings and for your loving care through this year. We thank you for the gift of life, and for your protection in the whole armor of God. We thank you for your guiding Word and hand, and for your love within us. We thank you for friendship and duty, for good hopes and precious memories, for the joys that bring gladness during this pandemic and the trials that teach us to trust in you. Most of all, we thank you for the saving knowledge of your Son our Savior, for the living presence of the Holy Spirit, for the fellowship of your holy Church in all its forms, and all the means of grace. O God, help us to make right use of all these your benefits, and encourage one another in this fellowship to do the same, that we may live our lives as an acceptable thanksgiving to you all the days of our lives, and land us safely in Heaven, through the grace of Jesus Christ our Messiah. (All pray in silence, confessing our sins and receiving our Words of Assurance.) WORDS OF ASSURANCE

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRIES--

BIBLE BUDDIES and the YOUTH GROUP have been invited to 2 (count ‘em – two) pre-Christmas activities.

1.) Start your Christmas Season of Giving by giving your time, talent, and energy. The Children and Youth have been asked to decorate the Chrismon tree for our church. We need volunteers for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 28th (Thanksgiving weekend) for this Bethany tradition.

2.) The Salvation Army requests that we serve as Bell Ringers in front of the Gloucester WalMart on Saturday, December 12th from noon-2:00 P.M. Let’s gather that day to support a terrific community action group, and start celebrating Jesus’ birthday together.

Please text, call, or email Ms. Robin if you would like to be part of these festive, action-packed days! Robin Moscati, 571-218-8236 , [email protected]

RADA KNIVES – JOY Circle is selling Rada Knives. Money raised will benefit missions. Rada Knives make great Christmas gifts! Orders will be taken until the end of the month. If you need to see a book, call Charlotte Cecil at 804-815-1805 or 804-642-4176 and leave a message. You can also look online www.radacutlery.com to see products. Online shows retail prices, call Charlotte for discounted fundraising prices. Money is due with the order. Make checks payable to J.O.Y. Circle.

NADINE TATUM Update--Thanks to everyone who has helped out in response to Nadine Tatum’s sudden passing. A granite marker is ordered; when Hogg Funeral Home has placed the marker we will announce a day and time for a graveside service in Gloucester Point Cemetery.

REVERSE ADVENT BAGS---During this pandemic year our Reverse Advent Bags will be a big help to those in need. In the spirit of giving, we encourage each family to receive a Reverse Advent bag and fill it for a needy family. Treat it as you would a traditional Advent calendar; but instead of getting something each day, place an item per day in your bag, all the way to Christmas. Items should include non-perishable food and pantry items, paper products, household cleaning and personal hygiene items. Bags will be dedicated in Worship on December 20th. If you can't get your bag to church, please call the church office and someone will pick it up from your porch. Non-perishable items will be taken to the Salvation Army, GUEST Day Shelter, Union Baptist Church Food Pantry, and Bread for Life for distribution. Together we can make a difference in the name of Christ.

BULLETINS FOR NEXT SUNDAY will be printed on Tuesday. The deadline to submit information to be included in the Bulletin for next Sunday will be Monday by 12:00pm.
