Leading Engineering Technician Head of Internal Communications Department Nuclear Submarine, HM Naval Base Clyde 2009 – 2013

Supervisor with 4 years’ successful management as the Head of Internal Communications onboard a Nuclear Submarine. Managed the planning and implementation of all departmental maintenance and work packages of sensitive military equipment. Organized work schedules, manning requirements, training and motivation of military engineering personnel.

Responsible for the day to day running of two different engineering departments on a nuclear submarine as directed by department head’s.

Manage a team of 15 – 20 technicians/mechanics both in harbor and at sea on a nuclear submarine with regards to both their professional conduct and training development.

Leading Engineering Technician responsible to the senior engineer for the 100% operational availability of sensitive military systems during operational cycles.

Able to keep systems available during long undetected and unsupported submarine patrols, with little or no spares.

Team Member / Covert Surveillance and Data Analyst 2003 - 2006

Member of a 25 man multi-national team, responsible for the gathering and analysis of classified information for the compilation and transfer to the worldwide intelligence community and Special Forces ground personnel.

Analyzed raw data and covert surveillance information on military and civilian infrastructure. Compile reports for transmission over secure communications networks to international

intelligence agencies. Maintained sensitive data capturing equipment when assigned the engineering role. Liaised with other contractors and outside agencies in conjunction with a severely enhanced

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Many hours have gone into learning new skills but on a more personal level my interests and hobbies are extremely varied.Since arriving in Wales, after my military service, there has been greater opportunity for me to pursue a variety of activities from Bushcraft to designing and building structures to improve the household environment. I am also enjoying time with my family and due to traveling with the Royal Navy, I have a great personal interest in foreigner culinary experiences and enjoy nights experimenting with many different ingredients.
