Registration for the district's 2020 -2021 full-day Kindergarten program will be held in accordance with the schedule listed below. All children who will be five years old on or before December 31, 2020, are eligible to attend Kindergarten in August 2020. Children who already attend a Pre-Kindergarten program at Stafford Public Schools do not need to be registered.

Staffordville School: (School Library)

Registration forms are available at www.stafford.ki2.ct.us under Notifications> Parents & Students> Student Registration Information (on page 2). Please bring the completed forms with you. If you are unable to download the forms, they will be available at Staffordville School and West Stafford School on the dates listed above.

As part of the registration process, students new to Stafford Public Schools will participate in our Kindergarten screening with a parent or guardian present. If your child has fil!! attended Pre-Kindergarten at Staffordville School (860-684-3298) or West Stafford School (860-684-3181), please call the school in your attendance district to schedule an appointment time for the screening. If your child currently attends Pre-Kindergarten at West Stafford School or Staffordville School, it is not necessary to have your child participate in kindergarten screening.

The following items are required at the time of registration:

1. Birth certificate - long form2. Current physical form completed by your pediatrician, including all vaccinations and dates administered, a blood test for hematocrit or

hemoglobin, and a dental exam. If your child cannot be immunized for medical or other reasons, a statement from your doctor should be presented at the time of registration.

3. Proof ofresidency-

• mortgage agreement; or

• rental agreement; or

• a notarized residency affidavit (form available at Board of Education office, school offices and on the web site) accompanied by acurrent utility bill; or

• a notarized residency affidavit accompanied by a valid driver's license, car registration, and a copy of personal property tax bill for thecar from the Town of Stafford.

We will have an orientation session for all Kindergarten families at each school in August.
