The Path for Paws is the name for The Sterling Shelters ENGRAVED BRICK PROGRAM. The bricks that will line the path

represent symbolic milestones in the life of a person-pet-or special event. While donors can quite literally, pave that path

brick by brick, it’s the inscriptions on those bricks that makes the program so meaningful.

Sterling Shelter’s PATH FOR PAWS Fundraising Campaign is underway and is ongoing YEAR ROUND. A permanent

memorial and life-saving idea to celebrate your special group/company/organization OR holiday/s-birthday-graduation-

weddings-births/anniversaries or just a great gift idea! This is also a wonderful, unique and heartfelt HOLIDAY gift for the

long list of family, friends and colleagues on your list! YOU can Help US, help those who need us...

Recognize your pet/s, honor a family member, and celebrate animals finding loving homes as well as all the programs

the shelter has for both people and pets! If you haven't been to our shelter recently we've got some big changes

happening! The once unusable swamp in front of the shelter is being renovated into a beautiful tranquil space that will

feature a beautiful new pond. Below is what our SWAMP looked like the Summer of 2016!

Above is the most recent photo taken Summer 2018 – we’ve definitely made a huge improvement in making this area

of the shelter a LOT more happy and peaceful!

The pond renovation covers a large area in front of the shelter in a figure “8” – and is about 50x100 feet! We’ve added a

few fish and hope to eventually add different breeds of fish including Koi fish and a few areas for seating. The project is

constantly evolving and has been a huge work in progress while enjoying the peaceful space – AND OF COURSE have all

our brick donors visit the Path for Paws to find their very own engraved brick which will be a permanent fixture at our

shelter for decades to come!

Our ULTIMATE mission is to dedicate this beautiful tranquil outdoor space to both two and four legged friends, pet lovers

and to ALL of our friends, family, supporters and donors - and to honor both people and pets that we love, loved, or those

we’ve lost, as well as those we want to remember, acknowledge or memorialize. The Path for Paws – Will be Paved with

YOUR Milestones and Memories - a special way to honor a beloved friend, family member or pet - or to commemorate a

milestone in your family, a gift that keeps giving...and helping to save more lives every day.

The Path for Paws is the perfect way to leave your permanent mark of care and compassion. This engraved brick

campaign provides a beautiful, visible opportunity to create a gift that will last for many years to come! Your brick/s will

help support the thousands of pets we care for each year at the Sterling Shelter - allow us to grow our programs for pets

and people – and to place homeless pets into loving, lifelong homes. Each brick will be added to the beautiful path that

winds its way around the pond.

From the staff and pets at the shelter – WE all thank you for supporting our mission… to provide shelter and humane

care to lost and homeless pets; reunite lost pets with their loving families; promote positive pet adoptions; educate our

community to inspire compassion and responsible pet guardianship. Of the thousands of dogs, cats and other furry

friends our shelter has helped each year to find homes, offer safe refuge, provide necessary veterinary care or whose

owners have received help through our onsite low cost veterinary clinic… these bricks will mark important milestones in

our lives as well as the lives of the pets and people we have been able to help through our dozens of programs offered at

the shelter

Sterling Shelter’s PATH FOR PAWS Custom Engraved Bricks – bricks can be ordered year round (and we place orders

once a month) the bricks take approximately 3-4 weeks to be engraved. The bricks are placed during the spring-fall when

the ground is soft enough to move them. All bricks are being laid around the pond creating a beautiful memorial walk

way as you can see from the photos below. The bricks are a classic “brick red” with black lettering. Each brick size

(either a 4x8 or 8x8 - have different options for number of lines – number of characters – and you can even add (1) clip

art image. Please note: spaces and punctuation count as “letters”.

All brick orders are 100% custom made – payment in full is required before we can order your brick/s.
