Flagler County Flagler County is installing virucidal hand wipes in each vehicle for passenger use and we will be utilizing
a virucidal fogger employed by hospitals, nursing homes and ambulances nightly in each vehicle to
disinfect.
Operators have been provided with disposable medical gloves to wear as often as possible (washing
hands after each use) and a small cleaning kit that includes virucidal/germicidal wipes and sprays to
disinfect all hand rails, stanchions, seats, etc. as often as possible.
Hernando County Transit Management, Inc. All CDC releases regarding this issue have been posted in all common areas of our facility as well as on
all buses and cutaways.
We have a staff of Servicers/Fuelers that are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the
equipment daily. I attached a checklist they use to ensure the buses are being serviced, cleaned and
sanitized to the best of our ability. A supervisor performs a visual inspection upon completion. In
addition, there is hand sanitizer being placed on all buses for passenger use.
We also have a commercial janitorial service performing the necessary functions for the facility.
Hernando County’s Servicer checklist is included in Appendix B.
Indian River Here in Indian River County we ordered a fogger and several cases of an EPA approved sanitizer early
last week. They’re expected to arrive tomorrow.
We plan on fogging each of our vehicles every night, and will also do a smaller cleaning (wipe down) of
the vehicles in service with an approved sanitizer around 12:30 (or as close to mid-day as possible) each
day.
Other things we have done to remain proactive include giving the drivers and office staff access to hand
sanitizer and wipes, and posted a lot of information about hand washing.
At Indian River Transits we purchased a fogger from State Chemicals, Product called Quick Defense along
with spray bottles wipes, gloves hand, sanitizer so drivers are protecting the best we can. By being
proactive in fogging bus down every night and wiping it down during day we are confident this will help
protect our drivers.
