Steps for Adding a Rubric to a Discussion Forum.

Under the Course Menu, 1) select Discussions. Scroll to the discussion forum you wish to add a rubric to and 2) click on the chevron next to the title and 3) select Edit.

To add a rubric to the discussion forum—either create a new one OR link an existing rubric by clicking on 4) Add Rubric. To show the rubric to students 5) select Yes .

When a student opens the discussion forum, they will see Grading Information at the top of the screen next to Create Thread. 6) Clicking on Grading Information will open a new window where they will be able to click on a box to view the linked rubric.

Students will click on the icon in the GRADE box to view the linked rubric.

The following is an example of the student view of a linked rubric.

Faculty will be able to access grading rubrics when grading the discussion forum by going to the Grade by Rubric box after a rubric has been linked to the discussion forum.
