In this role, you will report to a Senior Planning and Risk Officer and work on a range of tasks, which may include the following: Applying and monitoring the Department’s Risk Management policy and framework, as well as analysing and reporting on risk management activities; Applying and monitoring the Department’s Corporate and other related plans, as well as analysing and reporting on progress against key initiatives in those plans; and Supporting good governance principles across the Department, including a contribution to reviewing, applying and monitoring the Department’s governance framework. Position Overview

Key accountabilities

Highly motivated, near-final year university students who are interested in a future career with DTF will gain first-hand experience in planning, governance and risk management in a Victorian government environment.

In this role, you will report to a Senior Planning and Risk Officer and work on a range of tasks, which may include the following:

Key selection criteria

This role would suit a candidate who:

Holds a university degree, possibly in areas such as economics, finance and/or commerce;

Has a strong interest in governance, planning or risk management practices and principles;

Is self-motivated and able to work effectively in teams and on their own;

Has excellent verbal and written communication skills; and

Is eligible to work full-time in Australia at the time of applying.

Ideal Degree/Discipline

Commercial related degree, such as economics, finance, business and/or commerce. Strategic Planning, Governance, Audit and Risk Management

The candidate is not expected to have any practical experience in the field of planning, governance and/or risk management.

Eligibility Requirements

Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree

Australian citizens, Permanent residents and International Students with Full working rights

Identify as having disability

Candidates may be required to undergo a background check security clearance
