Stepping Into Internship Program - Position Description The Australian Network on Disability’s Stepping Into program is a paid internship scheme that matches talented university students with disability with roles in leading Australian businesses. The internship will comprise of 2 parts - (1) commence in Summer 20/21 and (2) return in Winter 2021 to complete the internship. Position Overview This position is part of a NSW Public Service Commission program to provide students with disability an introduction to the public sector. It is a fantastic way to launch your career in the public service. The internship will comprise of 2 parts - (1) commence in Summer 20/21 and (2) return in Winter 2021 to complete the internship. Candidates must be currently studying in their penultimate year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree with an Australian University (must be due to graduate in either Sem 1 or Sem 2 of 2021). Key purpose of the placement

Provide accurate and timely support and assistance in the delivery of a range of Human Resource (HR) related activities and services.

Tasks to be undertaken by the intern

Provide general administration and transactional assistance to the HR team to assist in the achievement of HR projects, initiatives, activities and services.

Maintain various HR systems and databases (including SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors) in an accurate and timely manner to meet deadlines.

Assist with Learning and Development activities and provide support to L&D Officers especially with respect of managing communication, data entry and logistics.

Assist with recruitment activities and using Taleo system (including advertising, processing applications, schedule and coordinate interviews and assessments, process criminal history checks) and coordinate work experience requests.

Respond to basic enquiries from staff and managers regarding HR services and payroll matters in a prompt and confidential manner.

Suggest improvements to HR administrative support service delivery and ensure appropriate sharing of relevant information across the various areas of the HR Branch.

Second last year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree (must be due to graduate in either Sem 1 or Sem 2 of 2021).
