Stepping Into Internship Program - Position Description The Australian Network on Disability’s Stepping Into program is a paid internship scheme that matches talented university students with disability with roles in leading Australian businesses. Position Title ANZ – Procurement Intern Location Melbourne Position Duration Must be a minimum of 152 hours (4 weeks full time) Commencing December 2019 Position Overview In Procurement we have a number of activities that need to be reviewed to ensure they are being done in the most effective manner and are adding value. It is often useful to get someone who does not have preconceived ideas of how things should be done to look at these with fresh eyes and perhaps provide and implement a fresh approach. We are particularly keen on ensuring that reviews deliver an outcome that is seen as an improvement from the view of the Procurement person doing the task i.e. less admin for more value. In addition to a series of projects to help improve the Procurement department there will be a number of standard Procurement activities that you will be involved in such as contract negotiations, stakeholder briefings, tender preparations and reviews. Position Overview

In Procurement we have a number of activities that need to be reviewed to ensure they are being done in the most effective manner and are adding value. Skills Required

Exposure to human centred design (HCD)/ user experience (UX)/ design would be beneficial

Good communication and self-management skills

Basic understanding of contracts and contract structure i.e. what clauses would be expected and what they mean (at a high level). This does not need to be through formal training.

Ideal Degree/Discipline

Commercial or legal

Eligibility Requirements

Penultimate year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree (i.e must be finishing final university course in 2020)

Permanent residents and Australian citizens only

Identify as having disability

Candidates may be required to undergo a background check security clearance
