The branch delivers a nationally coordinated approach to engagement delivered by multiple stakeholders. Our approach is underpinned by accurate knowledge of target audience capacity and stage/s of transition. Intern will: Contribute to the strategic direction by supporting the branch with tools and resources to effectively engage with people with disability, their families and carers using a nationally consistent engagement approach across a diverse geographic environment. Position Overview

The Community and Mainstream Engagement (CME) branch brings together the community engagement, events management and the engagement of the mainstream interface channels in to one national team.

The branch delivers a nationally coordinated approach to engagement delivered by multiple stakeholders. Our approach is underpinned by accurate knowledge of target audience capacity and stage/s of transition.

Intern will:

Contribute to the strategic direction by supporting the branch with tools and resources to effectively engage with people with disability, their families and carers using a nationally consistent engagement approach across a diverse geographic environment.

Work collaboratively with other NDIA business areas to deliver the NDIS.

Duties

Supporting to deliver engagement activities and projects.

Assisting in delivering clear, concise and effective messaging to people with disability, their families and carers as well as other community and mainstream stakeholders.

Providing input and feedback into the production of content and messaging.

Maintaining cohesive relationships with relevant internal stakeholders.

Assisting in managing communications, including inbox management, responding to or triaging enquiries and requests.

Performing general administrative duties to support in the smooth running of the team.

Other duties may include data research, creating templates and collating documents/materials.

Eligibility Requirements

Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree

Australian citizens only

Identify as having disability

Candidates may be required to undergo a background check security clearance
