CEO and President of American Higher Education Development Corp (AHED), Stephen Tave has a history of success in his professional portfolio. In his career of more than thirty years, he has worked for some of the leading educational institutes and colleges in the country. Before joining AHED in 2008, he was the Vice President/Part Owner of The Institute of Culinary Education.

Here, he developed and maintained the entire career school infrastructure – sales, education, placement, new location buildout, student services, and school management technology. Apart from managing several such aspects, he created three new programs, including – Career Culinary Arts, Career Pastry Arts, and Culinary Management.

Through his intense and dedicated efforts, he eventually led the school through its first successful accreditation and its renewal for which it was awarded a School of Distinction honor by ACCSC. His performance grew the school from $2 million to $26 million in revenue within a time period of ten years.

From 1992 to 1997, Stephen Tave served as the Director of The Art Institute of New York. Some of the key responsibilities he handled while working at this key position were – creating all sales and marketing channels; managing day-to-day front office staff; developing international relationships; and managing a team to upgrade the school to degree granting status. His performance grew the school from $3 million to $16 million in revenue within a time-period of five years.

Prior to working at The Art Institute of New York, Stephen Tave worked at North American Training Services. This was the first big career opportunity for Stephen and his passion and management skills helped him become one of the youngest licensed school directors in New York State. Although he joined the school as the Director of Financial Aid, his performance soon got him promoted to School Director and later Executive Director.

While serving these roles, he managed multiple locations within a large chain of schools. He oversaw sales training, marketing, development of pro-active training programs for all the departments, government funding, budgeting, and course developmenthe took care of every aspect of the schools.

Stephen Tave’s long tenure at all his schools proved his management ability was a valuable asset for over 30 years in this industry.
