Step Outline:

Step 1: The animation starts with traffic and the voices off people walking by as the title of the animation fades into the middle of the screen (The Maniacal Automobile).

There is then a screech of tires as you hear a car crash. As the car crashes the title screen shakes as the letters fall and a car appears on screen from the left all battered up from the accident making its way to the nearest mechanics.

Step 2: The frame then jumps to a scene of ‘Joeys Mechanics’ as you then see the little beat up car slowly drive towards and into the garage.

Step 3: The voice of the mechanic (Joey) is then heard but he is off screen throughout the first parts of the animation, the focus will mainly be on the automobile.

The car is making sad noises as the engine sounds broke and the smoke is coming out in random burst from the exhaust.

The mechanic then starts to say to the car that he needs to get close to give analyses of what is wrong with the car.

Step 4: The mechanics hand comes into frame from the left as the car looks at the hand coming towards it as it roars its engine like a cat at vets, not wanting to be touched as it is disorientated and defensive from the accident.

The mechanic retracts his arm as he starts to hesitate and try to think of other options to get closer to the car.

Step 5: The mechanic tries to sooth the automobile with music as he tries his luck again and reaches out to the car.

The hand gets a lot closer to the car this time as the car is enjoying the soothing music as it then notices the hand close to the bonnet as the car reverses off frame to the right screeching and roaring its engine like an insane animal.

Wrenches, buckets and other tools are knocked onto the frame from the right from the extra carnage this little automobile is causing.

Step 6: The mechanic then feels sympathy for the automobile as his hand stays on screen as he tries to reel in the car calmly gesturing the car forward with his hand and the mechanics voice calmly calling it forward.

The car then slowly goes back and forth of screen from the right as it slowly rolls back into the center of the screen.

The mechanic is then praising the automobile, as the mechanic then asks the automobile if he can open his bonnet so the mechanic can help him.

It takes a little for the car to trust the mechanic as the car cooperates as the mechanic then steps into the screen, not seeing his face just his back as he looks under the bonnet, tinkering about in the car as the car starts to laugh in a way from the tinkering as the bonnet then closes on top of the mechanic.

Step 7: The car is shaking about as the mechanic is trying to get out from under the bonnet as the mechanic hits something within the engine which makes the car stand still, spits out the mechanic which flies of screen and then starts to roar its engine and shake as its wheels spin and drives through the wall of the mechanics.

Step 8: The mechanic is dazed and stating how crazy that car is as you see the car drive off into the distance towards the horizon as you hear the engine brake again and it collapse on the horizon line as smoke slowly comes from the car.
