AnutoneStep is an exciting range of flat pile carpet tiles as floor coverings, available in seven
contemporary colours for achieving a high quotient of aesthetics and acoustics. It continues
Anutones new tradition of providing simple interior solutions in Do-It-Yourself (DIY) kits that
started with AnutoneSlim Composition PNS wall appliques.
AnutoneStep proves creativity can be achieved at minimal costs. For, allows the design of dramatic
and existing patterns with either complimentary or contrasting colours.
Made from hardwearing polypropylene fibres, the AnutoneStep range of carpet tiles will provide
a product that will stand up to the toughest conditions and provide years of outstanding service.
The biggest advantage of this tiles is convenience. They have a self-adhesive backing and in
three simple steps of unpack, peel and stick. A whole floor can be ready with no extra labour,
hardware, tools- thereby saving time, effort and money.
AnutoneStep is a no fuss, no hassle solution to modern floor coverings.

Design Considerations
AnutoneStep for internal use only and not for direct sunlight exposure. However, UV filtered
sunlight can be okay. Colour shade may vary from batch to batch due to limitations in dye

Installation Guidelines
Site Considerations
The floor must be flat and even. AnutoneStep will not camouflage shortcomings in the base floorfor level differences or undulations. AnutoneStep come with a strong adhesive and once stuck
cannot be repositioned repeatedly.
Warranty
AnutoneStep comes with 10 years AnutoneSurety - limited warranty - on the assembled system
when installed to Anutones specifications and maintained under the AnutoneSentry AMC
programme.
Acoustical Parameters
AnutoneStep comes with Sound Absorption Coefficient as per ISO 354.
A mounting (rigid backing with no airgap) - NRC 0.30.
Loudspeaker installers normally aim the high-frequency (HF) horn down towards the seatedaudiences ears to reduce ceiling and wall reflections thus increasing the importance of a sound
absorbent floors. This is where AnutoneStep comes in.
NOTE - Anutone has the capability, expertise and own infrastructure to perform custom
acoustics tests for given design as per ISO 354 at its AnutoneScanslab and provide acoustic
values of AnutoneStepspecific to installations.
1. Draw straight linesat right angles
across the centreof the room.Snapping chalkedstring stretchedbetween nailsis an easy method.
2. Check the distancefrom the markedcentre to the walls toensure that you havea reasonable sizecut in each wall. Ifnecessary, adjust themarked centreaccordingly.
3. Stick down thefirst square at thejunction of thechalk lines.
4. Stick down the firstrow of squares
working to one ofthe walls. Stick thesquares firmly intoposition.
5. Continue laying with the first row as a guide, completing a quarter of theroom at a time. To cut squares in along walls, place square to be cut over theadjacent square nearest the wall and use that square as your cutting guideby placing two small cuts at both sides of the tile. Remove tile and use astraight edge to cut where marked, then stick down the cut tile.
6. To ensure adhesion of all seams, tiles should be rolled with a heavy carpetroller once the tiles have been locked in by the walls.

Cleaning and Maintenance Guidelines for AnutoneStep
AnutoneStep are extremely durable and require little attention to maintain their good looks. Light
vacuuming on a regular basis will prevent dust build up and most marks can be cleaned with a
mild detergent solution followed by rinsing and blotting. Stains should be dealt with according tothe chart below.
Before carrying out a proposed cleaning method, apply to a concealed section to ensure itwill not affect the adhesive or wall covering
Avoid severe abrasion Vacuum to restore pile, but do not use a stiff brush.
Note: Anutone does not recommend solvent-based cleaners
Simple Stain Removal Techniques
Find the right staintreatment andremoval methodfrom the guide.
For solids, scrapeup with a spoon orknife.
For liquids, buttwith a paper towelor tissue.
Test the proposedcleaning agent andmethod on aconcealed area ofcarpet to ensure itwill not affect the
adhesive or thecarpet.
Using a sponge ina blotting motion(never rub), workfrom outside thestain in a circular
motion towards thecenter.
Blot up residualmoisture with apaper towel ortissue.
Allow carpet to drybefore walking on it.
Chewing Gum Removal
Freeze with icecubes or freezingagent.
Using a blunt knife,scrape awaychewing gum.

Anutone recommends that you contact professional cleaning experts should you require further assistance with the
cleaning and maintenance of AnutoneStep.
A Mop up excess as soon as possible with a sponge or cloth.
B Remove surplus with a knife edge or appropriate instrument.
C Sponge with a solutions of carpet shampoo working from well outside the stain in a circular motion towards the
centre (this avoids spreading the stain). Sponge afterwards with clean warm water and mop up excess moisture
with a clean dry cloth or sponge. Allow to dry then brush gently with a soft brush. If any stain remains, sponge with
a solution of one part household bleach to six parts clear water. Thoroughly rinse after treatment.
D Lightly sponge with household dry cleaning fluid and blot. Apply sparingly, as the substance may have an adverse
effect on the adhesive.
E Sponge with methylated spirits and blot dry.
G Apply nail polish remover. The nail polish remover should not include lanolin or be of a greasy nature.
H Sponge with turpentine (or substitute).
I Freeze with ice cubes and scrape away while cold.
J Clean with regular extractive carpet cleaner (if possible).
K Use circular cutter and remove damaged portion. Re-glue new piece into place.
