Step 1Open your picture in Draw. Use one of your own shots or find one by another user by searching for #FreeToEdit and #Portrait in the app. Tap on the layers icon to open the layers drawer. Perform a two-finger pinch to zoom in.

Step 2 Tap on the Color Chooser in the bottom right corner.

Step 3 Select your color and tap on the check mark to confirm.

Step 4Tap on the paintbrush icon to open the brush settings menu.

Step 5Select your brush and use the sliders to adjust the size and opacity. Tap on “Set” to confirm.

Step 6 Start painting streaks of color onto your hair. Tap on “Normal” to view your blending mode options.

Step 7Select “Screen.”

Step 8Tap on the Color Chooser again and switch to a light pink color. Continue adding color to your hair.

Step 9 Repeat the same process to add some blue streaks to your hair.

Step 10Tap on the eraser icon. Use your finger or stylus to clean up the edges where you might have painted on too much.

Step 11If you’d like to save your project as a draft (this will preserve all of your layers), tap on the three-dot icon and select “Save Draft.”

Step 12Tap on “Done” to finish. Save your image and share it on PicsArt with the hashtag #PastelHair!
