Girls and Boys Years 3 to 9 In this fun and interactive STEM class, the students learn about 3D Design and 3D Printing. They learn how 3D Printers work and how to transform their designs into 3D printable objects. The combined learnings of the day will see the students design and 3D print their own awesome gifts for Christmas.

Girls and Boys Years 2 to 6 In this immersive STEM class the students will learn how drones can be programmed to solve autonomous tasks and explore the physics of multi-rotor flight. The students will learn how drones operate and the system components that make up a drone. The combined learnings of the day will see the students apply the skills of coding and drone flight to complete a drone Search and Rescue mission.

They learn about the electro-mechanical parts of a robot and how robots work. The combined learnings of the day will see the students apply the skills of Robotics and Coding to program a robot to complete a mission.

Discover the beauty found inside e-waste by taking discarded electronic equipment apart using basic hand tools. Select, find and swap the parts you wish to use and applying a variety of craft techniques create stunning jewellery or small sculptures. A great opportunity to make gifts for Christmas.

FLYING ARTS WORKSHOP – MASK MAKING AND SHADOW PLAY

Girls and Boys Years 3 to 7

Create a BIGHEAD mask in using recycled cardboard and paints. Decide on your spirit animal or creature and use a projector to enlarge and draw the profile on cardboard. The characteristics of the masks will be the inspiration of short interactions and (shadow) plays throughout the afternoon.
