Utah Festival Conservatory of the Performing Arts

2011 - Present: Conservatory Director

Duties: Head of curriculum development for classes in acting, dance, and musical

theatre. Recruitment of conservatory students and teachers. Organization and

administration of enrollment procedures, budgeting, marketing, and overall conservatory

structure. Management of seven conservatory faculty instructors.

2011 - Present: Director of Broadway Bound Intensive Musical Theatre Summer Program

Duties: Curriculum development, hiring instructors and staff, marketing, registration

processing, workshop coordination, payroll, director of showcase.

2011 - Present: Lead Instructor

● Musical Theatre: Methods of applying basic acting techniques to song and dance. Basic

musical theatre history and exposure to the great American composers of musical theatre.

● Scene Study: Ensemble building, improvisation, introduction to scene work and basic

script analysis using plays from modern American realism. Arthur Miller, Eugene

O’Neill, Tennessee Williams.

● Advanced Scene Study: Ensemble building, improvisation, in depth script analysis and

application of basic Stanislavski acting vocabulary.

● Creative Drama: Introduction to creative expression using the body and voice. Focus

on improvisation and creative exploration. Creation of original work.

● Shakespeare: History of the Bard, basic principles of scansion techniques and the

practical implications of iambic pentameter. Basic “First Folio” methods applied in

monologues and scene work.

● Spring Production: Mounted a full-length musical theatre production with a cast of 53

students. All casting, directing, design, and technical elements were solely my

responsibility.

● Private Voice: Classical singing and musical theatre techniques taught to individual

students.

● Stage Combat: Introduction to fundamentals of unarmed combat, as well as overview of

broadsword techniques.
