ASTM A36 Steel Properties ASTM A36 has a yield strength of

36,000 psi and an allowable bending stress of 22,000 psi.

ASTM A36 is used for most building components, including columns, beams, flooring and finish elements.

The ductility of ASTM A36 doesn't allow the alloy to be used as cable, and it should not be used as reinforcing bar (rebar).

General Requirements for Delivery

4.1:-When we deliver the requirements. We shall consider the (A6/A6M).due to this specific structural product ordered, unless a conflict exists in which case this specification shall overcome.

4.2:-Coils are excluded from qualification to this specification until they are processed into a finished structural product. Cut the coils to different lengths as below

5.2:- plates used as bearing plates for bridges shall be less than (1.5 in) in thickness.

5.2:- We can not use the steel plates over (1.5in) thickness and shall contain 0.2 to 0.33 % of carbon by heat analysis that the chemical composition shall obey to the requirements of Table 2 in phosphorus and sulfur content, and that a sufficient discard shall be made to secure sound plates.

Tension Test

8.1 The material as denoted by the test specimen, except as specified in 5.2 and 8.2, shall conform to the requirements as to the tensile properties prescribed in Table 3.

8.2:- Shapes less than 1 in² [645 mm 2] in cross section and Bars less than 1⁄2 in. [12.5 mm] in thickness or diameter need not be subjected to tension tests by the manufacturer. provided that the chemical composition used is appropriate for obtaining the tensile properties in Table 3.
